I’ve known about Ponoko for a wee while but I found the other sites on Google. The ‘how to’ and ‘DIY’ sites share innovative ideas and creative thinking, that to some people could be really helpful or just good time wasters. Its the basic ideas that with the right amount of genius can be turned into awesome products that can be sold on a site like Ponoko. Ponoko showcases designers that create really unique products that can be mass produced. so basically you put in your order and a funky original product arrives in a box.
The sites are simplistic and really easy to follow so they are really welcoming and have that "helpful" vibe.
